A prominent international law firm with offices in major financial hubs worldwide is searching for a Business Development Manager to join their Dublin team. Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with practice leaders to devise and implement growth strategies that align with business goals.
- Lead the annual planning process, including budgeting and setting KPIs for assigned practices.
- Create and monitor data-driven business development plans to evaluate performance and return on investment.
- Utilize CRM, business development, and marketing platforms for planning, targeting, and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with marketing teams on campaign creation, content development, and digital initiatives.
- Oversee directory submissions, sponsorships, events, and speaking engagements.
- Drive and support business development activities aimed at both new and existing clients within designated practices.
- Coordinate business development trips by defining objectives, preparing briefings, and managing CRM follow-up.
- Develop and deliver high-quality pitches, proposals, credentials, and responses to requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Maintain accurate CRM data, client pipelines, and intelligence databases.
- Keep abreast of market, regulatory, and competitor developments to identify business growth opportunities.
- Seek opportunities to enhance client relationships, including cross-selling services.
- Manage and coordinate multi-stream business development projects involving cross-functional teams.
- Build and nurture strong working relationships with partners and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute actively to a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge and supporting strategic initiatives benefiting the firm.
Experience and Skills Required
- At least 8 years of experience in business development and/or marketing roles within professional services.
- Experience in law firms is preferred; qualifications in marketing, business, or related disciplines are advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of the Irish legal and commercial sectors.
- Track record of successfully managing senior stakeholder relationships.
- Proficient with CRM systems (e.g., InterAction) and skilled in data management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Commercially aware, solution-oriented, and experienced in balancing multiple priorities.
- Customer-focused with a calm and pragmatic demeanor under pressure.
