Role Overview

The Business Development Manager for Commercial Lighting & Integrated Lighting Solutions is responsible for cultivating customers, channel partners, and project opportunities within the lighting sector. Ideal candidates bring experience in B2B sales linked to LED lighting, electrical products, building projects, lighting distributors, contractor channels, RFQ management, or solution-driven project sales.

Product and Solution Focus

  • Indoor lighting systems for offices, schools, hospitals, hotels, retail spaces, malls, factories, warehouses, exhibition halls, and conference rooms—including LED panels, downlights, spotlights, linear lights, track lights, and high-bay lights.
  • Outdoor and architectural lighting such as street lights, solar-powered street lights, floodlights, wall washers, façade illumination, landscape and garden lights, parking lot, and public-area lighting.
  • Industrial and specialized lighting including explosion-proof lights, tunnel lighting, emergency signage, warning and signal lights, and lights resistant to water, dust, and corrosion.
  • Stage and visual-effect lighting like stage lights, theater and auditorium illumination, moving heads, laser projectors, event and DMX-controlled lighting systems.
  • Smart lighting technologies and accessories comprising dimming systems, sensors, DALI, 0-10V, DMX, IoT lighting controls, LED drivers, power supplies, as well as poles, brackets, and installation fittings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expand the customer base and channel partnerships for commercial and integrated lighting solutions.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with lighting and electrical distributors, contractors, consultants, engineering firms, project owners, facility managers, and procurement departments.
  • Market the complete range of SolutionMall’s lighting solutions across diverse applications: indoor, outdoor, industrial, architectural, municipal, stage, and special-purpose.
  • Manage follow-ups related to customer needs, lighting schedules, technical specifications, RFQs, quotations, budget reviews, and delivery scheduling.
  • Assist in selecting products and matching solutions tailored for various environments including offices, schools, hospitals, hotels, malls, warehouses, industrial sites, roads, parks, tunnels, façades, auditoriums, and public venues.
  • Coordinate among internal teams, suppliers, customers, and project stakeholders to ensure precise technical verification, quotation drafting, and project tracking.
  • Gather and relay market intelligence on demand trends, popular products, pricing dynamics, competitors, channel developments, customer preferences, and new project openings.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum three years managing commercial lighting sales, LED lighting, indoor/outdoor/industrial/street/architectural/stage lighting solutions, explosion-proof or smart lighting, electrical product distribution, contractor channel development, RFQ progression, quotation coordination, or project-based B2B sales.
  • Strong grasp of customer demands, lighting application contexts, product specifications, project standards, and RFQ documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging customers, distributors, contractors, consultants, project managers, and procurement teams effectively.
  • Preferred experience includes working on lighting projects related to electrical systems, construction, energy efficiency upgrades, or project procurement.
  • Proficiency in English is advantageous; additional languages are a plus.
  • Preferred qualifications involve current customer or channel access in commercial lighting, electrical product sectors, construction, or facility management projects, and hands-on experience with lighting projects across multiple venue types.

Compensation

Compensation at SolutionMall is performance-based, reflecting candidate experience, ability to grow the customer base, project advancement, and overall business contributions. Specific details will be presented during interviews.
