Overview
An expanding renewable energy company is hiring a motivated Business Development Executive to support growth from its Caterham team. The business operates in one of the UK’s fastest-growing sectors and is expected to scale significantly over the next two years, creating strong opportunities for progression and earnings.
This position is focused on outbound B2B sales. You will be expected to create new opportunities through research, online prospecting, and high-volume calling, while also following up with dormant customers and helping move prospects through the sales pipeline. Depending on the opportunity, you may book meetings for senior colleagues or close sales yourself.
What the role involves
- Finding and qualifying fresh B2B leads through your own research and prospecting activity
- Making around 60 or more outbound calls each day to both new and existing business contacts
- Spotting opportunities within the EV charging market and matching them to customer needs
- Reconnecting with inactive or lapsed accounts to restart trading relationships
- Arranging qualified appointments for Account Managers or handling the sale directly where suitable
- Keeping CRM records and pipeline updates accurate and current
- Working collaboratively with a fast-moving sales team to help drive revenue

Working pattern and package
The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, for 35 hours per week. Working hours are flexible between 8am and 6pm. The salary package includes a basic pay of up to £26,000 per year plus commission, with realistic on-target earnings of up to £52,000 per year. There is also a clear route into Account Management or further Business Development progression.
