Rodan Energy Solutions is a North American specialist in distributed energy resources and energy intelligence. The company supports a more dependable, affordable, and lower-carbon electricity grid by working with major energy users, utilities, and grid operators to plan, finance, and run high-value DER programs. Its portfolio includes asset optimization, demand response, metering, and power systems engineering, and it oversees more than 1,400 MW of flexible capacity across Ontario, NYISO, PJM, MISO, and AESO.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out

- Represent proven solutions with a strong customer track record and a 98% retention rate.
- Work with a motivated, collaborative team that values initiative, rewards performance, and supports sales growth.
- Take on a high-impact role with room to expand territory, earnings, and career scope as the company grows across Canada and the United States.
- Enjoy a mix of independence and support, with access to CRM tools, marketing assistance, technical experts, and operations support.
Role Overview

- Build and manage a personal sales plan and pipeline aligned with company objectives.
- Work with solution engineers, finance, energy markets, technology, and other specialists to prepare compelling proposals.
- Contribute ideas for new products, services, and solution improvements.
- Create and nurture strategic partnerships that expand sales and service offerings.
- Develop relationships across all levels of an organization, from executive leadership to frontline operations.
- Prospect independently through cold calling and direct outreach, while leveraging support from marketing, customer success, and revenue operations.
- Sell complex technical energy solutions in a changing electricity market.
- Help customers reduce total energy spend and progress toward emission-reduction goals.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a hunter-style sales role within energy management solutions or a closely related field, specifically serving large commercial and industrial electricity users.
- Hands-on experience with demand response, distributed energy resources, and grid-edge technologies.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or a similar CRM platform.
- Successful completion of a college or university program; an engineering or technical background is considered an advantage.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to work from the Mississauga headquarters on a hybrid basis, generally 3 days per week.
- A criminal background check and reference checks are part of the hiring process.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range of 125,000 to 150,000.
- Expected total on-target earnings of 250,000 to 300,000.
- Uncapped commission structure.
- Commission paid upfront, with additional accelerators for overachievement.
- Benefits package.
- RRSP matching.
