Opportunity

Rodan Energy Solutions is a rapidly expanding North American energy services company committed to making sustainable solutions attainable. The organization is looking for an experienced HR executive who can build strong people systems, scale them effectively, and champion talent as a key business lever.

Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the leadership group, the Vice President, Human Resources will oversee the full people agenda. The two most important outcomes for this position are attracting high-performing talent across North America and developing the employees and leaders who will shape the company’s next phase of growth.

Key Priorities and Accountabilities

• Design and strengthen the talent acquisition engine so the company consistently attracts top-tier performers at all levels, from frontline roles through executive hiring. This includes enhancing the employer brand, raising interview standards, creating detailed talent maps for the sector, and personally securing critical hires in Canada and the United States, with international hiring to follow.
• Lead learning, development, and leadership growth initiatives that help employees become deeply knowledgeable about the energy industry, the company’s role in it, and how each position contributes to business outcomes.
• Work with the CEO and executive team to align people strategy with growth plans, including workforce planning and organizational design for both immediate and long-term scaling needs.
• Manage and develop the HR and talent acquisition team across Canadian and U.S. entities, covering performance management, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and compliance.
• Create scalable people programs that improve performance, retention, succession planning, internal movement, and culture as the business grows.
• Oversee the organization’s HR technology environment, including BambooHR, JazzHR, Pave, Juicebox, and Microsoft 365, while promoting practical use of AI and automation in HR operations.
• Use workforce data and employee insights to drive ongoing improvements, and coordinate with outside partners such as legal counsel, benefits providers, learning vendors, and advisors.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive senior HR leadership experience in a growing and complex business, ideally one operating across several geographies.
• A strong history of creating or rebuilding talent acquisition functions that reliably secure exceptional candidates.
• Hands-on experience building leadership and development programs that deliver measurable gains in capability and performance.
• Solid expertise in workforce planning, organizational design, and broader talent strategy.
• Proven ability to act as a data-focused partner to senior executives.
• Experience with AI-enabled HR operations and tools.
• A practical, builder-oriented approach with strong judgment, business understanding, and the ability to work directly in a fast-moving scaling environment.
