Role Overview
Q Investment Partners is looking for a seasoned fundraising expert to spearhead its sales and capital formation initiatives. This role demands capital raising expertise across institutional investors, family offices, private wealth, and intermediaries, focusing especially on Asia Pacific, Japan, and the Middle East. Additionally, the incumbent will cultivate long-term relationships with investors, influence fundraising strategies, and contribute to the firm's investment platform expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement the firm's fundraising strategy and investor engagement plan.
- Manage full lifecycle capital raising involving funds, separate accounts, joint ventures, and co-investments.
- Forge and sustain robust connections with institutional investors, family offices, private banks, wealth managers, and affluent individual investors.
- Originate and finalize meaningful capital commitments personally.
- Conduct investor presentations, roadshows, due diligence sessions, and lead commercial negotiations.
- Create persuasive fund narratives, pitch decks, and investor communications.
- Oversee fund formation efforts, legal documentation, closing procedures, and capital call coordination alongside internal and external advisors.
- Negotiate fund terms, side letters, fees, governance provisions, and co-investment agreements.
- Provide senior management and investment teams with investor insights and market intelligence.
- Utilize investor and industry networks to uncover potential deals and strategic alliances.
- Lead, motivate, and nurture the sales and investor relations personnel.
- Establish disciplined pipelines, reporting standards, and fundraising performance benchmarks.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in real estate, private equity, private markets, capital formation, or investor relations.
- Demonstrated success in raising capital across various funds or investment strategies.
- Well-established relationships with institutional investors, family offices, private wealth platforms, and financial intermediaries.
- Strong investor access and network within Asia Pacific, Japan, and Middle East regions.
- Comprehensive understanding of fund structures, fundraising processes, investor due diligence, and negotiation dynamics.
- Experience in negotiating fund terms, side letters, co-investment rights, and fee models.
- Additional experience in acquisitions, investments, or asset management is a plus.
- Preferable background in real estate or real assets sectors.
- Knowledge about residential and operational real estate sectors, including student housing, co-living, multifamily, or other "beds" strategies, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with investment markets in the United Kingdom, Japan, and Asia-Pacific is desirable.
- Strong leadership abilities, communication skills, negotiation expertise, and relationship management.
- Highly motivated, credible, entrepreneurial, capable of representing the firm at senior investor levels.
