Job description
About the Company
House of Pickle is a fast-scaling sports and recreation business that is reshaping how people connect through sport. The company is growing quickly across Australia and New Zealand, with plans to expand into Southeast Asia soon. Beyond operating pickleball venues, it focuses on creating welcoming communities that help people of all ages remain active, social, and healthy.
About the Role
This position combines venue growth with investment support. The main objective is to fill venue schedules by building strong relationships with groups and organisations that can use House of Pickle locations on a recurring basis. In parallel, you will support the CEO by handling investment-related enquiries and helping move qualified prospects forward.
Venue Growth Responsibilities
- Develop new business with retirement villages, aged care providers, schools, universities, corporate teams, sporting clubs, community groups, pickleball associations, local organisations, and event groups.
- Create and convert partnership opportunities into repeat bookings, competitions, coaching programs, corporate functions, and other venue activity.
- Identify and pursue fresh commercial opportunities that can increase venue utilisation across the network.
Investment Sales Support
- Respond to investment enquiries and make outbound calls to prospective investors.
- Assess and qualify leads before handing them over for deeper discussion.
- Build rapport and maintain relationships with potential investors.
- Run introductory conversations or meetings where needed.
- Work with the CEO to progress qualified investors through the investment process.
What Success Looks Like
The ideal person is energetic, competitive, and comfortable driving conversations over the phone. You should enjoy opening doors, building trust quickly, and closing opportunities. This role suits someone who can work independently while staying aligned with a growing team and ambitious commercial goals.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers a base salary of $60,000 plus uncapped commission, with realistic on-target earnings of $150,000+.
- Direct exposure to the CEO and senior-level commercial discussions.
- Clear career growth as the business expands across Australia and beyond.
- A lively, entrepreneurial work environment.
- The opportunity to contribute to the growth of a rapidly expanding recreation brand.
