The company supplies natural ingredients, botanical extracts, essential oils, flavor systems, and specialty raw materials to industries such as food, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and fragrances.
Position Overview
The Business Continuity Specialist will enhance operational resilience by developing and managing business continuity plans that cover commercial, procurement, logistics, and operational facets. This role ensures that essential business functions continue during unexpected supply chain disruptions and related operational challenges but is not focused on IT disaster recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and update Business Continuity Plans (BCPs).
- Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to identify critical operational dependencies.
- Evaluate vulnerabilities in international trade operations.
- Lead business continuity exercises and simulation drills.
- Support contingency strategies involving suppliers and logistics partners.
- Develop procedures to recover vital commercial functions.
- Analyze and review lessons learned from operational incidents.
- Track and monitor the execution of continuity measures.
- Collaborate closely with teams in Procurement, Logistics, Commercial Operations, and Finance.
- Maintain comprehensive continuity documentation.
- Prepare reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior leadership.
- Assist in crisis response planning and promote business continuity awareness company-wide.
- Recommend enhancements for operational resilience.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Risk Management, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, Risk Management, or Operations.
- Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent proficiency in report writing.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects effectively.
