Role Overview

The Consultant will engage in addressing complex, strategic challenges faced by hospitals, health systems, and medical centers. Project teams are kept small to allow direct access to executive clients, coupled with ongoing mentorship from experienced consultants. Our unique environment gives exposure to varied healthcare projects, including strategy development, workforce optimization, supply chain management, and performance enhancement.

Responsibilities

• Formulate project strategies and detailed workplans, setting milestones, assigning responsibilities, and tracking progress.
• Partner with clients to capture and interpret comprehensive data, acting as the main point of contact for client data requirements.
• Clearly communicate project goals and process designs to stakeholders.
• Conduct rigorous quantitative analyses, develop complex Excel models, and prepare materials encompassing operational and financial forecasts.
• Periodically report project updates to clients, highlighting value additions.
• Create and present final findings and recommendations, assisting in designing and implementing effective solutions.
• Identify and scope subsequent engagement opportunities.
• Standardize project deliverables, including methodologies and templates for reuse.
• Contribute to internal company initiatives during non-billable project phases.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
• Familiarity with project management, process redesign, and change management principles.
• Robust quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities.
• Understanding of financial concepts to inform decision-making.
• Excellent oral and written communication proficiency.
• Exceptional time management with a history of meeting deadlines reliably.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and analytical software tools.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 80% of the time and work extended hours as required.

Educational and Professional Experience

• Bachelor’s degree mandatory; Master’s degree preferred.
• A minimum of three years in project management, consulting, hospital operations, or related healthcare fields preferred.
• Certifications such as Lean, PMP, or equivalent project management/process improvement credentials are advantageous.

Applicants must be authorized for permanent work in the United States; visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.

Salary for this position ranges from $73,100 to $108,100 annually, commensurate with experience. Surgical Directions highly values its workforce and provides a comprehensive benefits package to employees.
