Role Overview

The Business Concierge position, based in Parkes/Forbes and offering remote flexibility, focuses on assisting small businesses throughout their lifecycle. This role provides tailored support through direct contact and phone consultations, helping local businesses start, manage, and expand effectively.

About Service NSW

Service NSW aims to simplify access to government services for individuals and businesses across New South Wales. Established in 2013, it has revolutionized government service delivery by integrating digital channels, a 7-day helpdesk, and a growing network of service centres, collaborating with over 50 agencies to provide more than 1,000 government transactions.

Key Duties

  • Deliver customized assistance and case management to small business customers.
  • Proactively connect with local businesses to understand and meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including local councils, to support businesses within the region.
  • Work alongside team leaders and business relationship managers to organize outreach initiatives such as events and presentations.
  • Handle customer interactions via phone and digital platforms.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships to ensure continuous support and favorable outcomes for business clients navigating government processes.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience engaging with multicultural communities; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued.
  • Deep understanding of the challenges encountered by NSW small businesses.
  • Flexible approach to delivering tailored client service without compromising quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust.
  • Proactive and customer-focused attitude.
  • Capability to primarily assist businesses located in Parkes and Forbes Local Government Areas.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Possession of a valid NSW driver’s licence.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within NSW, including metropolitan, regional, and remote areas, sometimes on short notice.

Additional Information

This position is classified within the SNSW Grade 5/6, with a base salary ranging from $93,490 to $106,841 annually, plus superannuation and annual leave loading. Employment is full-time and ongoing. The closing date for applications is 10 August 2026 at 9:59 AM.
