This team handles content concerns, complies with global legal requirements, and enforces policies to enhance the YouTube experience, promote online safety, and protect free expression in a fast-changing digital environment.

Responsibilities
- Develop and refine key performance metrics and tracking frameworks to measure success across business operations.
- Identify and address measurement gaps by creating new success criteria, proxy indicators, or operational benchmarks with statistical techniques.
- Conduct in-depth root cause analyses of unexpected changes in performance metrics to uncover true drivers behind fluctuations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to formulate remediation strategies and deliver actionable insights.
- Produce high-impact reports and data-driven narratives suitable for executive leadership, translating complex analytics into accessible strategic guidance.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and sustain scalable reporting tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Quantitative Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least two years of professional experience in data analytics, data science, consulting, engineering, or technical operations.
- Two years' experience in statistical problem-solving and analyzing datasets using SQL or comparable programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or C++.
- Preferred: Expertise in handling large and diverse datasets, statistical modeling, data mining, and comprehensive data analysis.
- Experience in managing projects and optimizing processes utilizing data analytics.
- Strong consultative problem-solving skills paired with excellent project management abilities, encompassing metric analysis, experiment design, and automation.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex analyses and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
