Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Analyst / Consultant who brings at least 5 continuous years of hands-on experience with the Finastra EQUATION core banking platform, covering both support and implementation work. This position calls for strong capability in business analysis, gathering and documenting requirements, drafting functional specifications, supporting system integrations, and working with loan administration processes. The role also requires solid analytical thinking, clear communication, and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong expertise in core banking systems and related business processes.
- Review business requirement documents and translate them into detailed functional specifications for development and testing.
- Analyze and map business processes to support system and process improvements.
- Support systems integration activities involving core banking platforms.
- Work with loan administration systems and related operational flows.
- Manage defect tracking, follow-up, and reporting of execution status.
- Contribute to test scope analysis, including regression testing activities.
- Collaborate with systems analysts, programmers, vendors, and stakeholders across all levels.
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and improving systems and procedures across business and support areas.
- Maintain updates to business specifications and related documentation.
- Prepare user guides, instructions, process documents, and training materials.
- Develop system business cycle specifications and oversee calculations, postings, outputs, and controls.
- Take part in meetings focused on assessing individual and departmental performance.
- Respond to application-related questions from internal teams and external customers.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Strong knowledge of Finastra EQUATION or similar core banking platforms.
- Business analysis and requirements engineering.
- Functional specification writing.
- Systems integration understanding.
- Loan administration domain knowledge.
- Test planning, regression testing, and defect management.
- Excellent spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel.
- Strong time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Good planning, organization, teamwork, and stakeholder management.
- Customer service mindset, accountability, and the ability to perform under pressure.
- High standards of ethics, confidentiality, and data protection.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Business Administration, or another related technical discipline is required.
