About the Role
NAVA Software Solutions is seeking an experienced Business Analyst, Project Coordinator, or Project Manager for a 6+ month contract based in New York, NY. The position demands approximately 35-40 hours weekly, blending remote work (3 days) with onsite presence (2-3 days) at 2 Broadway, NY. This role supports the HR Operations and Analytics team by driving priority projects through hands-on execution, encompassing project coordination, process mapping, data analysis, and meticulous document management within Microsoft 365.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-departmental initiatives by tracking tasks, timelines, and deliverables to ensure effective progress.
- Document and map end-to-end business processes to support operational improvements.
- Utilize Excel and Power BI to analyze data, uncover insights, and inform strategic decisions.
- Develop clear and visually compelling presentations and reports using PowerPoint and other Microsoft tools.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business challenges, identify pain areas, and collaborate on solution development.
- Prepare and maintain project trackers, meeting minutes, pre-read materials, and action summaries for both team and leadership meetings.
- Create and manage structured, version-controlled document libraries leveraging SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 applications, including regulating access and permissions for ease of navigation and collaboration.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least 10 years of professional experience in project coordination, business or data analysis, or process improvement roles.
- Proven ability to work within large, complex, or matrixed organizations.
- Expert-level proficiency within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem: SharePoint (site creation, document libraries, access control), Teams (channel management, file handling), OneDrive, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Advanced skills in Excel including pivot tables, lookup functions, and data cleansing.
- Expertise with Power BI dashboards and data visualization techniques.
- Strong competency using MS Visio for process mapping.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- Prior experience with HR, operations, transformation, or shared services sectors.
- Familiarity with ERP/HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft or Workday.
- Exposure to project and task management software tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, stakeholder engagement, and time management capabilities.
- Ability to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and document essential process requirements, with samples available on request.
- Demonstrated capability to prioritize effectively and operate independently in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 2013 Suite and SharePoint 2010 or later, plus Microsoft Project 2010 or newer.
