Business Analyst - Management Information Systems in Banking

Role Overview

As a Business Analyst specialized in Management Information Systems (MIS), you will provide expert advice to international banks on evolving their MIS and reporting environments. You will act as the key functional liaison bridging business areas, data teams, and IT departments to deliver enhanced reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise global banking institutions on advancing their MIS and reporting frameworks.
• Assume functional ownership as a Business Functional Analyst coordinating between business units, data, and IT.
• Define, unify, and expand banking-specific KPIs across Retail Banking, Private Banking, and Wealth Management.
• Translate intricate business requirements into detailed functional concepts, reporting logic, and specifications.
• Analyze and refine reporting processes and data workflows through the entire reporting value chain.
• Organize and facilitate workshops involving business units and senior stakeholders.
• Manage business requirements within international transformation and cloud migration initiatives.
• Support testing phases, KPI validation, and the rollout of new reporting solutions.

Candidate Profile

• A minimum of 5 to 6 years’ experience in consultancy or a private banking business domain.
• Strong background in reporting, MIS, or management information systems environments.
• In-depth knowledge of products and processes pertaining to Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Retail Banking.
• Proven track record as a Business or Functional Analyst engaged in regulatory or business transformation projects.
• Excellent understanding of bank-specific KPIs, management reporting, and sales steering.
• Experienced in collaborating with business, data, and IT stakeholders.
• Proficient in conducting workshops and managing stakeholders at the management level.
• Analytical mindset combined with structured working style and strong consulting skills.
• Fluent in both German and English languages.
