Role Overview
The Business Analyst Intern will assist the Project Management team throughout various phases of project implementation, including business analysis, documentation preparation, project coordination, and preparation for testing activities. This position offers comprehensive exposure to the full project lifecycle, ensuring accurate documentation of requirements, readiness of testing environments, and timely progress of project tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with collecting, documenting, and analyzing business requirements from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support understanding of current and future business workflows, assisting in documenting "As-Is" and "To-Be" process maps.
- Engage in discussions and meetings with stakeholders to clarify business goals and project scopes.
- Help analyze existing business processes to detect gaps between requirements and system capabilities.
- Contribute to creation of process flows, use-case scenarios, and other functional documents, including recording assumptions, dependencies, risks, and proposed solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation such as functional specifications, meeting minutes, action logs, and requirement artifacts, ensuring all documents remain current throughout the project.
- Create user guides related to software release management.
- Support preparation for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by assisting with test plan development, scenario creation, and test data organization.
- Help verify that testing environments are properly configured and ready prior to UAT kickoff.
- Coordinate with teams to ensure testers have required system access and configurations.
- Track testing progress and document any issues found during testing for follow-up resolution.
- Assist in monitoring project status including milestones, risks, issues, and action items; following up with teams to ensure deadlines are met.
- Prepare status reports and maintain project tracking tools for internal use.
- Support scheduling and documentation of meetings, recording outcomes and actions decided.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Product, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Support teams to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Coordinate with Support teams to enable smooth project handover and readiness for operational launch.
- Facilitate clear communication among stakeholders to ensure mutual understanding of project goals and deliverables.
- Cultivate knowledge of the product, client business processes, and the team's implementation methodology.
- Continually develop skills in business analysis, stakeholder engagement, documentation, and project coordination through active involvement in projects.
- Contribute suggestions for improving current processes and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Keen interest in learning and embracing new challenges.
- Previous exposure to project management or closely related fields is advantageous.
- Familiarity with project management software tools is a plus.
Duration and Additional Information
This internship is designed to last approximately six months, with the potential for extension depending on performance and availability.
