Overview

The Business Analyst will act as the critical link connecting business stakeholders with technology teams to implement insurance products into core systems. This role requires comprehensive gathering and documenting of requirements, system analysis, and overseeing the effective deployment of insurance solutions. The analyst supports the entire product rollout lifecycle, collaborating closely with business users, developers, and quality assurance teams to ensure top-tier delivery.

Role Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, or a related discipline.
  • Certification in Business Analysis such as CBAP or CCBA is preferred.
  • Have 4 to 6 years of experience working as a Business Analyst particularly within the insurance domain, ideally life insurance.
  • Knowledge or experience in insurance product configuration and system migration projects is a plus.

Skills and Professional Experience

  • Comprehensive understanding of insurance product frameworks and business processes.
  • Experience preparing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and Use Cases.
  • Proficient in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting both business and system-level requirements.
  • Familiarity with insurance core systems such as Life Asia, Ingenium, Premia, or equivalents.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and testing methodologies.
  • Understanding of API integration and system interfacing.
  • Strong communication abilities and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent analytical and documentation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with business teams to comprehend product requirements and operational workflows.
  • Document both functional and non-functional system requirements.
  • Create BRDs, Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), and aid test case development.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business and technical teams.
  • Validate that system designs meet business expectations.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and address issues after go-live.
  • Maintain traceability matrices and track change logs.
  • Provide assistance in end-user training and documentation.
