Job description
Role Overview
An established consulting firm is looking for a seasoned Business Analyst with a strong background in Capital Markets to join their client based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role demands comprehensive experience in eliciting and analyzing requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, and delivering effective technology solutions for capital market platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, verify, and document both business and functional requirements.
- Engage proactively with business users, product owners, project managers, and technical teams to facilitate delivery of robust solutions.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and business process analyses with stakeholders.
- Draft essential documentation including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), user stories, process flow diagrams, and use cases.
- Carry out gap analysis comparing current processes to desired future states.
- Support the solution design phase collaborating with system architects and developers.
- Take part in system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and oversee deployment activities.
- Coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure requirements are fully tested.
- Analyze production issues and suggest process improvements.
- Ensure strict adherence to Capital Market Authority (CMA) regulations and internal governance frameworks.
- Work effectively within Agile and Waterfall project frameworks.
- Assist with change management duties including user training and preparing business readiness.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7 to 15 years as a Business Analyst with significant exposure in Saudi Arabia’s Capital Markets.
- Thorough understanding of the entire capital markets lifecycle.
- Proven ability in requirement gathering, stakeholder communication, and business process modeling.
- Expertise in clear, concise documentation such as BRD, FSD, user stories, and process flows.
- Experience in supporting SIT, UAT, and production rollouts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication skills for both technical and business audiences.
- Comfortable working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Capital Markets Domain Expertise
Candidates should have hands-on experience in at least one or more areas including equity trading, fixed income, bonds, sukuk, mutual funds, ETFs, IPOs, derivatives, asset management, portfolio management, order management, trade lifecycle, clearing & settlement, custody, corporate actions, market data, risk management, and compliance or regulatory reporting.
Technical Knowledge (Preferred)
- Competence in SQL for data verification and analysis.
- Understanding of API architecture and system integrations.
- Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalents.
- Ability to use process modeling software such as Microsoft Visio.
- Knowledge of trading platforms and capital market software applications.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile Business Analysis, or Scrum are advantageous.
- Capital Markets professional certifications are highly valued.
Mandatory Conditions
- 7 to 15 years of relevant Business Analysis experience.
- Proven project involvement in Saudi Arabia Capital Markets.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Must be willing to work onsite in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or capital market corporations within Saudi Arabia.
