Role Overview
The Business Analyst plays a key role in identifying business opportunities for improvement, analyzing options, and defining well-structured outcomes to enhance business processes and systems. This involves ensuring information systems effectively support the business's requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead analysis activities on strategic projects, supporting business partners through changes.
- Advocate and assist in deploying technical and operational solutions aligned with project targets.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the international market, commercial challenges, and opportunities.
- Evaluate and propose business process improvements to meet strategic goals.
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to outline functional and non-functional requirements for system, process, and reporting adjustments.
- Create business cases with business units to capture and document needs for new solutions.
- Coordinate delivery efforts between business and technical teams to ensure prompt and effective outcomes.
- Recognize potential risks and issues, suggesting mitigation strategies to safeguard projects and business operations.
- Support testing and training activities by assisting in the creation of relevant materials.
- Engage stakeholders consistently to obtain approvals at critical milestones.
- Maintain adherence to international and IDF project standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral, fostering strong partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Proficiency in gathering requirements through workshops, interviews, and surveys.
- Familiarity with business analysis techniques and methodologies is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of systems integration and data requirements.
- Lean or Six Sigma experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry and the London Market is a plus.
- A commitment to quality, finding efficient solutions to challenges.

- Strong organizational and analytical skills to achieve business objectives.

Compensation Details
The salary range for this position is between 85,000 and 95,000 CAD annually, reflecting expected pay across Canada. The specific placement within this range depends on experience, qualifications, and job responsibilities. This role is a replacement position.
