Role Overview
The chosen candidate will be part of the UK’s foremost team for secure technological transformations, working on complex, regulated projects primarily in the public sector. You will help design innovative and user-focused products and services that enhance safety and encourage business evolution beyond just performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a bridge connecting internal and external stakeholders, including Sales, Project Management, Architecture, Development, QA, and Support teams.
- Lead discovery phases through planning, conducting, analyzing, and translating findings into design decisions that prioritize user needs.
- Demonstrate creativity and curiosity when solving complex business challenges, advocating for inclusive and accessible service solutions.
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams, supporting a dynamic and innovative work culture.
- Stay informed on AI advancements and guide clients on leveraging AI to enhance operational efficiency.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement via workshops and inclusive design initiatives to co-create solutions.
- Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity for business professionals, designers, and engineers alike.
- Translate broad concepts into detailed epics and user stories suitable for development teams.
- Document clear, traceable requirements aligned with business value and priorities, and work closely with teams to define acceptance criteria.
- Engage closely with Design and Research teams to integrate user research into continual improvement and requirement elaboration.
- Support Agile processes by assisting Delivery Managers or Scrum Masters with maintaining Agile boards and workflow management.
- Define criteria for readiness, completion, kickoff, sign-off of user stories, and requirements needed for user acceptance testing.
- Collaborate with various roles including Business Analysts, Product Managers, Technical Leads, QA, and external stakeholders.
- Champion best practices in business analysis and promote continual development of the discipline within the Secure Transformation Services group.
Required Experience and Skills
- Prior experience working as a Business Analyst.
- Proficiency in Requirements Engineering and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Applied knowledge of diverse BA techniques such as Business Process Modelling (BPMN), Context Diagrams, Use Cases, SWOT and MOST analysis, and Business Activity Models.
- Experience working within Agile frameworks.
- Familiarity with prioritization methods including Rough Order of Magnitude (RoM), t-shirt sizing, and MoSCoW.
- Awareness of user-centered design principles focusing on security, privacy, accessibility, performance, and reliability considerations.
