Role Overview
APNA is seeking a passionate Business Analyst to enhance operational effectiveness and contribute to shaping the future of primary health care nursing nationwide. This newly-created full-time position is based in Melbourne and combines onsite presence with hybrid work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed and accurate process maps, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for current and future operations
- Identify operational inefficiencies such as bottlenecks, duplication, risks, with a focus on automation and simplification opportunities
- Compare APNA’s processes against best practices within the sector and comply with regulatory standards
- Lead workshops, focus groups, and interviews to collect both qualitative and quantitative data
- Effectively communicate analysis and recommendations to both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
- Support projects from initial scoping through to evaluation ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and change management practices
- Develop comprehensive reports, presentations, and briefing documents for senior leadership and the Board
- Identify technological enhancements using CRM, CMS, LMS, AI to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks
- Provide business analysis, specify user requirements, and contribute to testing in system implementations and enhancements
- Work closely with internal technical teams and external vendors to translate operational requirements into system solutions
- Ensure alignment of business processes with organisational policies and assist in policy updates as needed
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Analysis, Information Management, Public Health, Organisational Management, or a related field
- At least three years of practical experience in business analysis or process improvement roles
- Proficiency in process mapping software (e.g., Visio) and data analysis applications (such as Excel, PowerBI, Alchemer)
- Certification in recognised process improvement methodologies
- Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring attention to detail and quality
- Strong communication, facilitation, and collaborative skills
