Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and mechanically inclined individual to handle building maintenance tasks and renovations, ensuring residents enjoy a safe and well-maintained home environment. The successful candidate will respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, perform routine inspections, and maintain building and common areas to high standards.

Work Location

• Aspire property in the View Royal area of Victoria, British Columbia

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests within a 72-hour timeframe
• Handle emergency maintenance calls on an on-call basis
• Maintain and perform touch-ups on vacant suites meeting quality standards
• Carry out upkeep tasks in common areas and building facilities
• Coordinate turnover suite inspections with the Customer Care Team
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and produce related reports
• Oversee contractor work to ensure adherence to established quality standards
• Support snow removal activities
• Assist other sites and complete additional duties as required

Experience and Educational Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in maintenance services
• Renovation experience of 3 years considered an advantage

Technical and Other Requirements

• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
• Basic technology skills are beneficial
• Possess all required tools as listed (tool list to be provided during interview) by the end of the probationary period
• Capability to spend up to 8 hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, and lifting
• Ability to handle weights up to 90kg using appropriate equipment
• Precision in repairing issues correctly on the first attempt
• Strong customer service dedication
• Effective time-management abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Exemplify positivity, enthusiasm, and assertiveness
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Possess a reliable personal vehicle
