Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and mechanically inclined individual to handle building maintenance tasks and renovations, ensuring residents enjoy a safe and well-maintained home environment. The successful candidate will respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, perform routine inspections, and maintain building and common areas to high standards.
Work Location
- Aspire property in the View Royal area of Victoria, British Columbia
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to maintenance requests within a 72-hour timeframe
- Handle emergency maintenance calls on an on-call basis
- Maintain and perform touch-ups on vacant suites meeting quality standards
- Carry out upkeep tasks in common areas and building facilities
- Coordinate turnover suite inspections with the Customer Care Team
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and produce related reports
- Oversee contractor work to ensure adherence to established quality standards
- Support snow removal activities
- Assist other sites and complete additional duties as required
Experience and Educational Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in maintenance services
- Renovation experience of 3 years considered an advantage
Technical and Other Requirements
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- Basic technology skills are beneficial
- Possess all required tools as listed (tool list to be provided during interview) by the end of the probationary period
- Capability to spend up to 8 hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, and lifting
- Ability to handle weights up to 90kg using appropriate equipment
- Precision in repairing issues correctly on the first attempt
- Strong customer service dedication
- Effective time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Exemplify positivity, enthusiasm, and assertiveness
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
- Possess a reliable personal vehicle
