Role Overview

Based in Auckland, the Brand Marketing Manager for Red Bull New Zealand will spearhead strategic planning and deliver impactful marketing initiatives grounded in deep consumer understanding. This role involves innovating programs to attract new customers, aligning local marketing strategies with broader business goals, and collaborating across departments to effectively execute complex marketing plans. The position demands strategic insight, robust project management skills, and the capacity to motivate and align stakeholders towards superior outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive consumer research efforts, monitor brand performance, and analyze market trends to provide actionable insights.
  • Drive brand awareness and loyalty by recruiting new consumers and delivering the brand management segment of the annual marketing strategy.
  • Ensure premium consumer interactions across all brand touchpoints and act as a liaison with other internal teams.
  • Collaborate with creative agencies and Red Bull headquarters to design innovative above-the-line advertising assets and manage a tailored country-level paid advertising strategy alongside media partners.
  • Oversee agency relationships ensuring optimal media buying and planning effectiveness.
  • Manage the local product portfolio in close partnership with Sales and Operations teams, orchestrate comprehensive product launches, and create 360-degree marketing campaigns using iconic Red Bull brand elements.
  • Develop consumer engagement activities that enhance brand equity and offer distinctive experiences.
  • Supervise the Sampling & University Marketing Program, support the Student Marketeers, and boost brand presence on university campuses through targeted sampling initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor two direct reports, manage creative and media agencies including budget oversight, and cultivate team growth aligned with Red Bull’s values.

Candidate Profile

  • A university degree is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years marketing experience within New Zealand, preferably in FMCG or lifestyle brands.
  • Strong expertise in advertising, product marketing, and consumer insights.
  • Possess a strategic and analytical mindset capable of transforming data into actionable plans.
  • Excellent project management abilities and competent in coordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • Self-driven, entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive approach to work.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience in managing teams and agency relationships is a plus.
  • High personal integrity, strong passion for the brand, and dedication to Red Bull’s core values.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
