Job description
About Buenro
Buenro is building a new way for destination events to feel more complete. The company connects event organisers and their attendees with carefully selected private stays and hotels, helping the event experience extend beyond the venue while also creating a fresh revenue opportunity for organisers through a revenue-share model.
The business is an early-stage, fully remote team operating in a fast-growing phase with investment support. The culture is collaborative, quick-moving, and strongly focused on delivering thoughtful experiences for both customers and teammates.
About the Role
Buenro is hiring a Brand & Marketing Lead to shape how the company is presented externally. You will define the brand story from the ground up for a business that sits at the crossover of travel, technology, and premium live experiences.
The ideal background includes consumer-facing subscription or membership businesses, especially in social and travel tech, where you have learned how strong branding supports long-term loyalty and how marketing turns interest into action. In this role, you will work across two audiences: event organisers and the guests attending their events.
This is a practical, high-responsibility position. Rather than leading a large team, you will build the messaging framework, create the playbook, and personally drive execution.
Work Location
This position is remote. Buenro hires across locations that are within roughly 3 to 4 hours of CET.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead brand, growth, content, and measurement efforts across the business.
- Set the direction for Buenro’s brand identity, including tone of voice, visual direction, and positioning, so it connects with a refined, experience-focused travel audience.
- Create brand standards and keep them consistent everywhere the brand appears, including product copy, partner materials, and social media.
- Turn a two-sided value proposition into simple, persuasive messaging for both organisers and attendees.
- Ensure the brand story is reflected consistently across product, social channels, and real-world experiences.
- Plan and run marketing activity for both consumer and business audiences to raise awareness and generate leads through digital channels.
- Use experience from subscription or membership businesses to shape retention-focused communication, including lifecycle emails, newsletters, onboarding journeys, and re-engagement campaigns.
- Partner with product and leadership to make sure marketing supports conversion and growth priorities.
- Manage editorial and content calendars across social media, email, the website, and the blog to build trust, community, and loyalty.
- Develop relationships with brand partners, ambassadors, and event organisers that fit Buenro’s positioning.
- Collect and share real customer and event stories to strengthen social proof and organic reach.
- Conceptualize and execute in-person marketing activations at partner events.
- Set up marketing analytics, monitor performance, report on key metrics, and adjust campaigns quickly based on results.
- Approach every campaign with a testing mindset, from subject lines to overall campaign structure.
What We Are Looking For
The company is prioritizing the right mix of experience, judgment, and mindset over a particular title history.
- 3 to 7 years of brand and marketing experience, including substantial exposure to consumer subscription or membership-based businesses, ideally in social or travel technology.
- A clear understanding that brand and marketing work together and should not be treated as separate functions.
- Strong storytelling ability, with the ability to create a brand presence that carries through every customer touchpoint.
- Experience guiding creative teams to develop content that fits the brand world.
- An eye for the small details that make a brand memorable and emotionally engaging.
- Strong design taste and the ability to explain how creative direction should translate into the world.
- Practical experience with lifecycle marketing and CRM platforms such as Braze, Klaviyo, HubSpot, or similar tools.
- Proven ability to build and deliver a content strategy across social, email, and owned media.
- Comfort with uncertainty and a track record of building structure from scratch.
- Excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to write in a voice that feels premium, playful, and not overly formal.
- Confidence working with data, understanding what to measure, and using insights to inform decisions.
- Genuine interest in travel, destination events, or premium lifestyle experiences is considered an advantage.
Nice to Have
- Experience marketing to both consumers and businesses in the same role or organization.
- Familiarity with the events, hospitality, or luxury travel industries.
- Prior experience helping build a brand at seed stage or Series A stage.
- Basic design awareness and the ability to brief work in tools such as Figma or Canva.
Benefits
Buenro offers a fully remote work setup, 25 days of paid time off, one additional paid week off provided by the company, participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), and access to accommodation at cost at Buenro’s global bases.
Hiring Process
- Introductory fit conversation with the Talent Lead
- Interview with the CXO
- Case study or assignment
- Interview with Product or Commercial team
- Final conversation with the CEO
- Reference checks and offer stage
Additional Information
Applicants should submit a resume along with a short cover letter explaining their fit for the role.
Buenro welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds, cultures, and experiences and is committed to an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued.
