About the Role
Starbucks, a pioneer in creating meaningful coffee experiences and connections, seeks a Brand Manager I specializing in Brand Strategy and Experience. This role centers on representing Starbucks' at-home coffee portfolio through thoughtful strategy, compelling brand storytelling, and leading integrated marketing campaigns that enrich emotional connections and fortify brand equity. The Brand Manager will oversee portfolio strategy, develop comprehensive campaigns, and serve as the primary advocate for key Masterbrand marketing efforts and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive marketing initiatives that fulfill business goals and enhance brand presence, delivering engaging communications aligned with the Starbucks Masterbrand.
- Collaborate globally to foster a unified brand approach, creating campaigns with an inclusive, one-brand mindset to elevate the Starbucks brand across markets, especially the US.
- Lead the end-to-end process of integrated brand campaign planning, from concept and creative development to multi-channel execution that progresses the brand.
- Regularly assess campaign performance using insights to refine messaging, maximize impact, and sustain long-term brand strength.
- Present findings and strategic recommendations to leadership teams to support informed decision-making and prioritize initiatives.
- Ensure seasonal and external marketing efforts effectively elevate the brand and meet market performance indicators.
- Facilitate cross-team communication and partnership with external agencies to maintain a consistent brand experience.
- Guide strategic portfolio development through business and brand planning supported by deep portfolio insights.
- Engage actively with a dynamic, collaborative team in accordance with Starbucks’ guiding principles to accelerate business advancement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven track record in launching successful products and communications, preferably within consumer packaged goods (CPG).
- Experience executing marketing across diverse channels such as TV, digital media, influencer partnerships, experiential marketing, and earned media.
- Advanced skills interpreting syndicated data sources (e.g., Circana, Mintel, IPSOS) and transforming consumer insights into impactful marketing campaigns and product launches.
- At least five years in brand management roles with progressive responsibilities.
- Extensive project leadership experience, managing large cross-functional teams for five or more years.
- Capability to work effectively within matrix organizations, collaborating across functions and cultures.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities and thought leadership as a brand advocate.
- MBA degree is strongly preferred.

Vacation Accrual: In CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND, and RI, partners accrue vacation up to 120 hours (190 hours in CA) annually for roles below director level and 200 hours (316 in CA) for director roles and above. Other states follow a standard starting accrual of 120 hours or 200 hours respectively.
Additional Information
Salary will be determined based on various factors including skills, experience, location, and internal equity. Typically, new hires are not positioned at the upper end of the salary range.
This position requires onsite work four days a week to foster team collaboration and effectiveness.
