About Glossier

Glossier is a dynamic community-driven brand, offering immersive experiences both online and offline. Over 11 years, it has evolved into a cultural icon that extends beyond beauty products, focusing on emotional connections, empathy, and consistent engagement. The brand integrates into daily life as part of people's routines and self-expression, with core values emphasizing humanity, curiosity, playfulness, and helpfulness. Glossier's mission is to become the most cherished lifestyle brand worldwide.

Role Overview

As the Brand Experience Lead based in Los Angeles, you will blend cultural programming, community engagement, and production leadership to define Glossier's presence locally. Your responsibility includes creating and managing store activations, events, and experiences that foster community connection, cultural relevance, and motivate people to engage with the brand beyond shopping. You will link brand, retail, and culture by building genuine relationships on the ground and translating cultural trends into meaningful brand experiences in LA. Collaborating with internal teams such as Retail, Brand, Creative, PR, Merchandising, Store Operations, and Digital, you will design and execute an ongoing experiential strategy, positioning the LA flagship as a cultural hotspot with recurring events and partnerships beyond mere product launches. Reporting directly to the Director of Brand and Integrated Marketing, this individual contributor role drives innovative in-store experiences and community-driven programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve the experiential strategy for Glossier's LA flagship to enhance community-building, cultural engagement, and impactful retail moments.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive experiential programs, including in-store events and activations, managing from conception through launch and evaluation.
  • Identify and collaborate with culturally aligned partners, creatives, and community figures reflective of Glossier's values in beauty, culture, and community.
  • Manage the flagship's events calendar by aligning activities with brand priorities, store milestones, product launches, and cultural movements.
  • Create thoughtful activations that bring the brand's story to life in-store, ensuring a cohesive guest experience and consistent messaging.
  • Build and sustain relationships with local creators, organizations, and cultural communities to cultivate a loyal and engaged local network.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workflows, ensuring timely delivery and alignment among creative, retail, communications, talent management, legal, and digital teams.
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for each experience, ensuring amplification across owned, earned, and paid media channels.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for partners, vendors, collaborators, and agencies, managing all aspects of event execution from start to finish.
  • Oversee budgeting, contracts, and event day logistics to optimize resources and ensure quality delivery.
  • Prepare detailed recaps and reports to analyze performance and derive insights that refine future experiential initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 6 to 8 years of professional experience in experiential marketing, event production, brand partnerships, or community management, ideally within beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or culturally driven sectors.
  • Exceptional cultural awareness and intuition, with the ability to detect emerging trends and translate them into compelling brand experiences.
  • Proven success in designing and implementing live brand experiences, especially those linked with retail or flagship settings.
  • Established networks and active participation in community-building, particularly within Los Angeles’ creative sectors including food, art, fashion, music, wellness, design, and emerging talent.
  • Resourceful and versatile, capable of managing broad strategic visions as well as detailed operational tasks.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and teamwork capabilities with a strategic and creative mindset.
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, organization, and time management.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate experience outcomes and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to work hybrid, primarily from Glossier’s LA office.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The anticipated salary range is between $106,000 and $138,000 annually, subject to qualifications and experience.
  • There is potential for salary advancement based on performance.
  • Full-time employees have access to a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), equity through Restricted Stock Units, paid time off, and disability leave among others.

Equal Opportunity

Glossier is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer committed to preventing discrimination across all facets of employment including hiring, promotion, compensation, training, and termination, ensuring an inclusive and diverse workplace environment.
