Job description
About the Company
Beauty Barrage is a strategic sales management organization that supports beauty brands through a network of brand ambassadors across North America. The company partners with major retail destinations such as Sephora, ULTA, and Bluemercury, and supports more than 200 beauty professionals across over 3,000 retail doors in the U.S. and Canada. It has also been recognized on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies.
Role Overview
The Brand Executive is a field leadership position focused on increasing sales, strengthening brand visibility, and expanding market presence within an assigned territory. Acting as the main brand representative and sales lead for selected beauty labels, this person will guide, coach, and support the field team to deliver strong execution across store visits, events, and brand activations.
The role involves close coordination with retail partners, internal field teams, and company leadership to translate brand strategy into in-store results and sustained performance. The ideal candidate brings strong sales instincts, excellent relationship-building ability, and solid knowledge of the beauty industry, along with a track record of motivating teams and driving accountability in the field.
Core Responsibilities
- Improve sales results and product sell-through across the assigned territory by helping retail partners and field teams apply effective selling approaches.
- Track KPI performance, spot areas that need improvement, and put corrective action steps in place when needed.
- Take ownership of all events in the territory, including planning, execution, and completion of every post-event requirement.
- Guide, coach, and support field team members so they consistently achieve or exceed performance targets.
- Hold individuals and teams accountable for sales, education completion, communication expectations, and policy compliance.
- Carry out regular store visits, observations, and check-ins to assess execution quality and team performance.
- Provide timely, clear, and practical coaching and feedback to help close performance gaps.
- Ensure all open roles in the territory are filled promptly with strong candidates.
- Work with internal teams to resolve performance issues and support corrective actions when required.
- Build a culture that is focused on results, accountability, strong engagement, and positive morale.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with store leadership, district managers, and brand stakeholders.
- Serve as the escalation point for store-level or brand-related issues and help resolve them effectively.
- Represent the company and the brand professionally in every internal and external interaction.
- Reinforce brand education, product knowledge, and selling methods across the field team.
- Support training programs so field staff are prepared, compliant, and confident in representing the brand.
- Participate in live education calls for assigned brands and complete all LMS training modules within the required timelines.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports, recaps, insights, and performance updates on time.
- Share trends, risks, and growth opportunities with internal leadership.
- Collaborate closely with scheduling, education, and account teams to keep operations aligned.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of management experience in the beauty industry is required.
- Strong familiarity with beauty retail environments is essential.
- Demonstrated success in driving sales, coaching teams, and bringing brand plans to life.
- Excellent skills in communication, organization, and time management.
- Self-directed, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
- Professional, polished, and brand-appropriate personal presentation.
- Strong computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
Physical and Schedule Requirements
- A personal vehicle is required for travel within the assigned territory.
- Availability for flexible working hours, including weekends when business needs demand it.
- Must be able to work a full 40 hours in-store supporting brands during the month of December.
- Ability to stand for long periods while visiting stores and attending events.
- Must be able to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
Company Values
- Obsessed with success: the team aims to exceed expectations and help others look good.
- We skip to work: the company enjoys the work because it is genuinely passionate about it.
- Evolve or die: the team challenges the status quo and keeps improving.
- We got the tattoo: the role is viewed as a long-term career, not a short-term assignment.
- Embrace the chaos: the beauty industry can be unpredictable, and the team is ready for it.
- We've got your back: colleagues support one another and celebrate each success.
- Do the right thing: accountability and transparency guide the work, even when no one is watching.
