About the Role

Join Okta as a Brand Designer focused on social media, crafting the visual identity across platforms such as LinkedIn and YouTube. This role is pivotal as Okta's first dedicated social creative hire, setting the tone for the brand's presence in social feeds by transforming complex identity and security topics into engaging, shareable content. The target audience includes senior, technical professionals who are security and identity leaders and practitioners. You will bring clarity and appeal to the "Okta Secures AI" narrative, seamlessly blending human and machine identity stories.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design for Okta's organic social media channels, including static posts, carousels, and feed-first formats.
• Develop and refine recurring creative templates to swiftly translate business goals into native social content.
• Visually interpret the "Okta Secures AI" story to capture attention, drive engagement, and promote sharing.
• Integrate culturally relevant elements that align with Okta's trusted security brand.
• Create assets for the social advocacy program enabling employees and partners to share Okta’s content at scale.
• Collaborate with the video team to enhance YouTube channel visuals, such as thumbnails and playlist art.
• Evolve the social brand expression while maintaining Okta’s distinctive visual identity.
• Experiment with new formats and analyze performance to establish best practices that elevate social creativity over time.
• Provide creative leadership by presenting direction to stakeholders and mentoring other contributing designers.
• Stay informed on social platform changes and emerging trends to capitalize on new opportunities.

Required Experience and Skills

• Proven portfolio showcasing impactful social-first designs that captured attention, enhanced engagement, and aligned with brand standards.
• Senior-level experience independently leading social channel design, preferably within a brand or social-focused environment.
• Deep expertise in feed-native design and best practices across platforms, including YouTube.
• Demonstrated proficiency in making complex or technical content visually engaging and accessible.
• Strong cultural insight and sound judgment in balancing creativity within a security brand context.
• Advanced skills with Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• Adoption of a test-and-learn approach, using engagement metrics to refine creative output.
• Ability to deliver rapid iterations and thrive in a fast-paced setting with continuous content delivery.
• Experience in motion and video design is a significant advantage.
• Background in B2B or technology sectors is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual salary ranges based on location are as follows:

• San Francisco Bay Area: USD 143000 to 196900
• California (excluding SF Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York, Washington: USD 128000 to 176000
• Canada: CAD 114000 to 157300
