Job description
About the Company and Role
Body Jewellery Ltd is a prominent UK wholesaler specializing in body jewellery, piercing, and tattoo products. They manage a diverse range of in-house brands tailored to audiences including professional piercers, tattoo artists, and everyday consumers. Each brand requires a distinct tone and style while maintaining a cohesive and compelling presence.
Role Overview
This position is a very hands-on leadership role focused on running the brand and content strategy across multiple brands. As Brand & Content Lead, you will be responsible for how the brands are represented visually and verbally across all communication channels. This includes directing and managing a team of social media and content creators, coordinating with PR and paid social agencies, and collaborating with Performance, Ecommerce, and CRM teams to align brand messaging with business growth goals. The role reports directly to the Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a unified content calendar covering organic social media, campaigns, website content, blogs, and SEO-driven materials to ensure consistent high-quality content across all channels.
- Lead all phases of creative production such as photo and video shoots including planning, logistics, vendor management, budgeting, and team coordination from initial brief to final output.
- Maintain brand integrity by establishing and overseeing brand guidelines, tone of voice, and positioning for each brand in the portfolio.
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns targeting both consumer and trade audiences effectively through brand and social channels.
- Oversee and develop the social media and content team, including freelance contributors, and manage relationships, briefs, and commercial arrangements with paid social agencies.
- Hold full responsibility for content budgets and production decisions, determining what is produced internally versus outsourced.
- Lead the hiring process and foster growth by recruiting, onboarding, and developing new team members in social media and content roles as the company scales.
- Manage community relations by supervising outreach initiatives involving sponsored artists and body piercers, guiding content collaborations and community engagement activities.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Poole, Dorset, with a listed salary range of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum or higher, depending on experience.
