Role Overview
This position is centered on representing the Nintendo brand in retail locations and community events, while supporting stores with product education, merchandising, demonstrations, and display upkeep.
Key Duties
- Deliver merchandising support, product walkthroughs, demonstrations, customer assistance, and maintenance of retail displays.
- Act as a local brand representative at stores and community events.
- Complete store visits with emphasis on special assignments, high-volume outlets, and priority locations.
- Use a tablet to submit field surveys and reports with timely updates on assigned stores.
- Perform inventory checks and coordinate with management to resolve count differences.
- Administer demo software within the assigned territory.
- Develop strong working relationships and ongoing communication with store staff and store leaders.
- Track and replenish display components and point-of-purchase materials.
- Set up, maintain, clean, and repair product displays and display fixtures.
- Re-stock products from store inventory onto sales shelves.
- Support large planogram resets when needed.
- Hand out point-of-purchase items.
- Use product knowledge and sales approaches to help customers make informed buying choices.
- Train store staff through one-on-one and group demonstrations during visits, weekend events, and other opportunities.
- Share field observations with management, including written updates and digital photos.
- Join scheduled monthly conference calls and product training sessions.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Comfort with basic arithmetic and accurate counting.
- Ability to work with computers and digital cameras.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Outlook.
- Familiarity with Nintendo products, or the ability to learn them quickly.
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to plan and manage an efficient work schedule.
- Strong focus on detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational ability.
- Capability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong communication skills, including presentation and public speaking.
- Physical ability to climb ladders and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to perform routine display maintenance and repairs.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to travel frequently within the local area, with some overnight travel depending on market.
- Clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation and valid insurance coverage.
- Access to a cell phone, optional telephone line, high-speed internet, and enough storage space.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers an hourly pay range of USD 25.88 to 36.23. It also includes a possible semi-annual discretionary performance bonus and a benefits package with medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
Additional Information
The role involves extensive travel within the local market, and some locations may require overnight travel. Weekend and holiday coverage, along with occasional overtime, are part of the job expectations.
