Job description
Role Overview
As a Branch Manager for Retail Branch Banking, you will be responsible for overseeing branch profitability, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring operational compliance. A key part of your role will be driving business expansion by meeting targets and enhancing cross-selling initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Meet income and contribution targets as set by the branch.
- Drive acquisition of incremental CASA accounts to grow the portfolio.
- Focus on increasing portfolio size and improving cross-sell ratios including products such as Demat accounts, Credit Cards, and Insurance.
- Manage revenue-generation channels and programs with objectives of achieving channel-specific and overall cross-sell targets.
- Oversee High Net Worth (HNW) portfolio management ensuring premium customer service levels.
- Ensure full compliance with the branch sales model and manage customer complaints to ensure swift resolutions.
- Implement strategies to control attrition rates and expand current customer portfolios.
- Organize customer engagement activities to gather feedback and improve service quality.
- Motivate and manage the branch team to enhance staff productivity and morale.
- Conduct regular training sessions focusing on skills enhancement, product knowledge, and operational procedures.
- Monitor staff retention and workplace environment.
- Review cash vaults, cash transactions, and key registers regularly to ensure accuracy and security.
- Ensure adherence to banking regulations and maintain compliance standards.
- Track audit ratings and address any operational lapses promptly.
- Regularly evaluate progress towards set objectives and make necessary adjustments.
Educational and Certification Requirements
A minimum of graduation is required to qualify. Certifications such as AMFI, IRDA, and NCFM are preferable but not mandatory.
