Overview
The Branch Manager for Agricultural Parts and Machinery at G.W. Tractors is charged with supervising the upkeep, repair, and efficient functioning of all agricultural equipment including tractors and other machinery. This leadership role involves directing a skilled technician and parts team, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and repair activities for all agricultural machinery.
- Lead and train the technician and parts interpreter team, enforcing safety and operational protocols.
- Manage procurement and negotiate contracts with both international and local suppliers and vendors to secure parts and services.
- Keep thorough and precise documentation of workshop jobs and their costs.
- Supervise inventory control, order processing, and distribution to maintain parts availability.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and work closely with sales to boost parts sales.
- Conduct annual physical inventory audits to ensure alignment with computerized records.
- Implement and enforce workplace safety standards and regulatory compliance regarding machinery operation and maintenance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Experience in maintaining and repairing various agricultural equipment.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and safety standards.
- Knowledgeable about tractors and bulldozers.
- Forklift license is preferred but not mandatory.
Work Environment and Additional Information
This position is primarily on-site at G.W. Tractors’ facility in Queensland. Occasional travel to other company sites or suppliers may be required. Working conditions may vary with weather, including responding to urgent issues outside normal hours.
