Biology Teacher

Overview

Abdulaziz International School in Al-Sulaimaniah, Riyadh, part of the SABIS® global education network, seeks a Biology Teacher dedicated to fostering student success through the implementation of the SABIS® curriculum and teaching strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver biology lessons using established or independently developed lesson plans aligned with provided pacing charts and SABIS® teaching methodology.
• Assess student performance through grading exams as scheduled and guided by department materials.
• Collaborate with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department to address student discipline and academic progress.
• Apply the SABIS® Point System to maintain a disciplined and productive classroom environment.
• Supervise and manage exam settings to ensure integrity and proper conduct during assessments.
• Support students facing academic challenges by offering motivation and guidance aimed at improving their performance.
• Assist in preparation for external examinations by reviewing past papers as part of structured revision plans when relevant to grade levels.
• Contribute to various school activities, including student supervision during lunches, managing transportation routines, and covering for absent teachers as needed.
• Plan and engage in extracurricular events related to student life such as arts, open houses, and physical education, coordinating with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Participate in training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system and enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Execute additional tasks or projects assigned by school management.

Qualifications and Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related discipline, or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• At least one year of experience in teaching.
• Professionalism and adherence to ethical standards.
• Strong orientation towards achieving results and continuous improvement.
• Accountability and ownership of responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
