Bilingual UX Writer / Content Specialist

About the Role

Birbal AI is seeking a skilled Bilingual UX Writer / Content Specialist fluent in Arabic and English to develop clear, engaging, and user-friendly content for a government digital platform. The role involves crafting intuitive microcopy, notifications, and user guidance to improve digital interactions for parents, schools, and government officials while ensuring consistent language and tone across Arabic and English interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce clear and concise UX content for web and mobile platforms in both Arabic and English.
• Create labels, instructions, error and validation messages, help content, and confirmation notifications.
• Develop bilingual communications including SMS, email, push notifications, and in-app messages.
• Maintain consistency in terminology, tone, and messaging throughout all user journeys.
• Work collaboratively with UX Designers to enhance usability and overall customer experience.
• Manage content inventories, style guides, and bilingual glossaries to ensure quality standards.
• Write plain language content to support accessibility compliance.
• Participate in content reviews, user testing, and quality assurance to guarantee linguistic accuracy and high-quality output.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills focused on user-centered design, UX writing, and research, capable of simplifying complex AI concepts into accessible language.
• Proven experience in content strategy and writing, including structuring content, defining tone of voice, and ensuring consistent copy across digital platforms.
• Background in technical writing for software or technological products such as user manuals, API documentation, help articles, and in-product instructions.
• Fluent professional command of English and Arabic with strong grammar, editing, and localization expertise in both languages.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams including design, product management, and engineering, integrated within UX or product design frameworks.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence, data platforms, or enterprise technology environments and a keen interest in secure, sovereign digital infrastructures.
• Ability to work onsite in Abu Dhabi and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines with attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Linguistics, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Journalism, Technical Writing, or related fields.
