Responsibilities
- Develop bid strategies in coordination with the Bid Core Team to shape deals effectively.
- Oversee the entire bid process through comprehensive project management.
- Prepare competitive proposals for systems and products, including precise calculations, while adhering to internal technical and commercial guidelines.
- Collaborate with various departments and local or headquarters entities to design customized, cost-effective solutions.
- Handle commercial and administrative duties during the sales process, including offer and risk evaluations, approval workflows, and conducting debriefings.
- Analyze and qualify complex tenders or offer requests thoroughly.
- Lead coordination of the Core Bid Team and manage technical, commercial, and legal aspects of tenders and offers.
- Develop bid structures and ensure competitive pricing aligns with customer expectations and internal policies.
- Prepare bid/no-bid recommendations for executive decision-makers.
- Engage and coordinate with internal and external experts across tax, controlling, legal, compliance, technical sales, and other relevant areas.
- Assist in financing applications, such as guarantees, bid bonds, HERMES, and Letters of Credit.
- Work closely with Contract Managers and Legal teams for contract drafting and finalization.
- Lead early risk assessments using dedicated tools and manage overall risk evaluation.
- Initiate and guide bid team meetings including kick-offs and debriefs.
- Coordinate, prepare for, support, and participate in negotiations with customers.
- Ensure seamless handover of successful projects to execution teams.
- Continuously analyze and refine bid management processes and tools for efficiency.
Requirements
- Degree in International Business Administration or related field with strong capacity to perform under pressure.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities.
- Experience and knowledge in insurance fields.
- Deep commercial insight, including understanding financial KPIs and financial instruments.
- Methodical and organized working style.
- Strong analytical skills suited for reporting and risk assessment.
- Leadership qualities capable of motivating and guiding teams.
- Excellent communication and customer-focused behavior.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Effective presentation abilities.
- Solid understanding of products, services, and sales processes.
- Competence to comprehend complex tender documents and contracts.
- Team-oriented mindset with soft skills for collaborating in diverse, cross-functional, and international teams.
- Fluent in French and English; additional languages are a plus.
