The successful person will manage bids end to end, from early qualification through to final submission, while working with operational colleagues and senior decision-makers. The focus is on producing clear, compliant and persuasive tender responses that reflect the company’s strengths and help secure business growth. Experience in cleaning or facilities management bidding is preferred.

- Prepare bid summaries covering opportunity details, key risks, requirements and recommendations.
- Organise bid launch meetings and bring together everyone needed for the submission.
- Create strong win themes, core messages and a clear value proposition.
- Research the market, review competitors and use local intelligence to improve bid strategy.
- Assess contractual terms and flag commercial or legal concerns where needed.
- Coordinate internal contributors so responsibilities, timelines and expectations stay clear.
- Write tailored, high-quality tender answers using operational input, previous work, research and company information.
- Liaise with internal teams to collect accurate material for each submission.
- Make sure every bid document is compliant, persuasive and aligned with client needs.
- Maintain the bid library so it can support future opportunities.
- Check and proofread all tender documentation before it is sent.
- Manage internal reviews and approvals with key stakeholders.
- Submit bids before the client deadline.
- Gather feedback from both successful and unsuccessful tenders and apply lessons learned to future bids.
- Stay up to date with best practices, standards and accreditations in cleaning and facilities management.
Experience and skills required
- Proven track record of managing bids and tenders from start to finish.
- Previous tender-writing experience in cleaning, facilities management or soft services.
- Solid understanding of client specifications, procurement processes and tender requirements.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management ability.
- Highly organised with a careful, methodical approach and strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable handling several priorities and working well under pressure.
- Strong project management capability.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to spot opportunities to strengthen submissions.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and bid management systems.
- Able to work independently while also collaborating with wider teams.
- Willing to travel occasionally within the UK when required.
Benefits
- Salary of up to £50,000 plus benefits.
- Fully remote working arrangement.
- Opportunity to contribute directly to business growth and winning new contracts.
