Job description
Role overview
yoummday is hiring a Bid Manager (m/w/d) for its Sales team in Munich, starting immediately. In this role, you will own the full bid cycle from the first assessment of an opportunity through to submitting persuasive, high-quality proposals. Working closely with the Sales Manager as a strategic partner, you will make sure every bid is delivered on time, aligned with requirements, and tailored to yoummday’s value proposition.
While the Sales Manager handles client relationships and overall commercial success, the Bid Manager is accountable for bid process ownership and delivery. This includes coordinating all relevant stakeholders to produce winning submissions.
Key responsibilities
You will oversee the full lifecycle of RFIs, RFPs, and tender processes, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards remain high. You will analyse requirements, prepare clear internal summaries, support bid/no-bid decisions by assessing risk and resource needs, and escalate issues where necessary.
The role also involves coordinating cross-functional teams across Sales, Operations, Talent Acquisition, Legal, IT, and Product, as well as leading kick-offs and follow-up workshops. You will draft, edit, and structure proposals so they are accurate, compelling, and compliant, while integrating technical and commercial inputs. In addition, you will monitor timelines closely, manage delays proactively, maintain and improve bid and project management systems such as HubSpot, Monday.com, and Teams, and keep templates, the RFP library, and bid materials up to date.
Continuous improvement is a key part of the position: you will refine templates, workflows, and best practices, use AI to speed up processing and improve response quality, identify new RFP opportunities, increase yoummday’s visibility in tendering processes, and actively approach procurement teams in target companies to encourage invitations to RFIs and RFPs. You will also support the Sales Manager with proposals and presentations by providing standardized content from the RFP library.
Experience and requirements
This position calls for at least 5 years of experience in bid management. You should be familiar with procurement processes and understand the difference between public and private tenders. Experience with multilingual and international bids is considered an advantage.
The working style required is highly structured, with the ability to manage several bids at once and keep multiple deadlines under control. Strong attention to detail is essential, including proofreading, consistency checks, and delivering error-free submissions. You should bring a high quality mindset, strong business writing skills, ownership for end-to-end bid delivery, a storytelling approach for presenting complex topics clearly, and proactive communication to involve stakeholders early and keep them aligned.
Fluent German and English, both spoken and written, are required at C1 level or above.
Benefits and working environment
You will receive 30 days of vacation, a lunch subsidy of 69 EUR per month, and either a Givve card topped up with 50 EUR monthly or a subsidized Wellpass membership. Additional perks include Corporate Benefits discounts, the option of JobRad leasing, contributions to retirement planning through bAV and VL, and team as well as company events.
The workplace is offered in a flexible hybrid model, combining work from one of the company’s modern and dog-friendly offices with the option of two weeks of Workation per year within the EU. This applies only to employees with an EU passport.
You will join a profitable company that offers room to shape its future, alongside a culture built on openness, authenticity, performance, and humor. From day one, you will have the chance to take responsibility, drive innovation, and grow together with a team of experts.
