About the Role and Company
Our team manages multiple berry farms specializing in raspberries and blueberries in the Coffs Harbour and Kempsey areas of New South Wales. With over eight years of experience in farm operations, we have supported many working holiday makers in obtaining their second and third visas in Australia.
Job Overview
We are currently recruiting fruit pickers for the 2026 raspberry and blueberry harvest season, which is expected to continue until around January 2027. This opportunity is ideal for those seeking farm work in Australia, including second and third visa applicants or anyone wanting to experience farm life.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Pick raspberries on a fully piece-rate basis with thorough training provided and no prior experience required.
- Work in tunnel cultivation, allowing work during rain on many days.
- Pick blueberries on farms offering either piece-rate pay or hourly wage guarantees.
- Maintain a certain speed and performance on hourly wage farms to meet standards; failure to meet these may result in relocation to other farms or termination.
- Begin as a trainee on piece-rate farms before potentially transferring to hourly wage farms.
Work Conditions
- Work 5 to 7 days per week.
- Daily shifts approximately 5 to 8 hours, varying with weather and harvest status.
- Legal employment with Tax File Number (TFN).
- Weekly payroll via bank transfer with payslips and proper management of tax and superannuation.
- Accommodation available in shared houses with rent from $150 to $200 per week, including utilities and WiFi.
- Shared rooms for 2 to 4 people, with a $300 bond refundable upon meeting conditions.
- Daily transport to farms for $10 per day, with additional shopping trips 2-3 times weekly. Personal vehicle commuting is also permitted.
