Role overview

This is a fully remote opportunity for a Benefits Operations Specialist based in Germany. The position supports a global, distributed benefits function and focuses on making sure employee benefits are administered accurately, communicated clearly, and handled efficiently across multiple countries and systems.

You will work closely with employees, clients, and internal stakeholders in a fast-moving HR operations environment. The work combines process execution, data accuracy, service delivery, and problem-solving, with regular interaction across tools, teams, and time zones.

This role is well suited to someone who enjoys structured operational work, maintaining high standards of accuracy, and improving the employee experience through reliable benefits administration.

Key accountabilities

  • Support employees and clients with questions related to benefits coverage, enrollment, and general administration.
  • Handle incoming requests and escalations through ticketing tools such as Zendesk and email.
  • Perform accurate data work, including entry, checking, extraction, validation, and ongoing maintenance across several systems.
  • Assist with operational tasks such as invoicing, billing, enrollment updates, and benefits platform changes.
  • Work with internal teams to understand needs and deliver dependable solutions.
  • Keep operational documents, standard procedures, and internal knowledge resources current and useful.
  • Look for ways to improve processes and introduce automation where it can increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Carry out research and help build structured internal knowledge documentation.
  • Use data and operational feedback to support ongoing improvements in benefits programs.
  • Help ensure the daily delivery of international benefits operations runs smoothly and consistently.

Requirements

  • Background in HR operations or benefits administration, preferably in a global, EOR, or PEO setting.
  • Solid understanding of employee benefits administration, including enrollment, invoicing, and plan management.
  • Hands-on experience with ticketing platforms such as Zendesk or similar systems.
  • Strong accuracy and detail orientation when working with complex data across multiple systems.
  • Well-developed organization and time-management skills, with the ability to handle several tasks at once.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, fully remote, distributed environment.
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to spot trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong English proficiency, both written and spoken.
  • Ease in working with multiple tools, platforms, and international stakeholders.
