Role overview

Al-Futtaim is seeking a Beauty Advisor for its Watsons retail operation in Doha, Qatar. This position is focused on delivering an excellent in-store experience, supporting sales growth, and keeping the beauty section well presented, stocked, and compliant with retail standards. The role combines customer engagement, product guidance, merchandising, operational discipline, and ongoing performance development.

What you will do

• Guide shoppers toward suitable beauty products by explaining features, benefits, and differences clearly.
• Support customers in choosing the right brand, shade, variant, and product type based on their needs.
• Use selling methods such as suggestive selling, upselling, and cross-selling to improve average transaction value.
• Respond to customer questions and requests promptly, courteously, and efficiently.
• Handle complaints within approved service guidelines and escalate when needed.
• Track product availability and help protect stock from loss, damage, theft, and pilferage.
• Monitor product shelf life and make sure items on display are replenished on time with correct shelf labels.
• Review price updates weekly and refresh shelf or price tags in line with planograms and store guidelines.
• Follow customer service standards, including greeting shoppers and offering baskets.
• Set up store promotions using marketing materials and ensure offers are communicated effectively.
• Keep assigned sections clean, organized, and aligned with company policies and procedures.
• Complete performance development actions on schedule and take part in employee engagement initiatives.
• Carry out retail operating standards and planogram implementations accurately and on time.

Requirements

• High school diploma is required; a degree is beneficial but not mandatory.
• 2 to 4 years of retail experience, preferably in beauty or fashion.
• Strong understanding of the beauty or fashion sector and current trends.
• Working knowledge of retail operations, inventory handling, and visual merchandising.
• Comfort using retail systems and managing cash transactions.
• Good empathy, customer orientation, and service mindset.
• Ability to solve problems and lead through challenges.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work through ambiguity while maintaining trust and integrity.
