Batcher in Charge - Concrete

Overview

Join a hands-on operations role at the Maroochydore Concrete Plant on the Sunshine Coast, where you’ll help support sustainable infrastructure across commercial and residential projects in your local community. This position is part of a team focused on delivering quality concrete and keeping plant activities running smoothly.

Role summary

Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, you will oversee efficient concrete batching and loading, contribute to everyday site operations, and operate both plant and mobile equipment competently.

Key duties

• Batch concrete orders accurately according to the required mix designs using dedicated software and systems.
• Operate the front-end loader safely to measure and prepare raw materials for batching.
• Handle daily administrative tasks, including raw material stock management and preparing monthly forecasts.
• Take part in safety processes such as pre-start checks, toolbox talks, and incident reporting.
• Carry out general yard cleaning, organisation, and routine maintenance.

What the employer is looking for

No prior concrete industry experience is required, as full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with computers and multiple systems, and able to step into a range of duties across the plant as needed.
