About the Role
Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort is seeking a motivated and adaptable Bartender / Food & Beverage Attendant to join the team on a part-time basis. This position is suited to someone who enjoys a busy hospitality setting and takes pride in delivering excellent service at both the bar and on the floor.
The role combines beverage preparation with table service, helping create a memorable experience for guests through friendly, efficient, and professional interaction.
Key Duties
- Mix and serve a broad selection of drinks, including cocktails, beer, and wine.
- Support food and beverage service by taking orders and delivering meals to guests.
- Provide warm, polished, and engaging service throughout each guest interaction.
- Suggest menu choices, pair drinks with food, and use upselling techniques to improve the guest experience.
- Keep the bar and service areas tidy, well-stocked, and properly organised.
- Cooperate with the wider hospitality team to help service run smoothly.
- Follow all health, hygiene, and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
Shift Information
- This is a dual-function position, with bartending as the main focus and Food & Beverage Attendant shifts also included.
- The role is part-time at 25 hours per week.
- Standard shift hours are 2:30pm to 10:30pm.
Candidate Profile
To perform well in this role, you should bring solid bartending experience, strong guest service skills, and the confidence to work across bar and floor duties in a fast-moving environment.
