Role Overview

The Barista will be a key player in expanding Talabat's innovative grocery concept, tMart — the region's first cloud store offering grocery deliveries within 30 minutes at hypermarket prices. tMart currently operates in multiple countries including Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt, Oman, and Iraq.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare all coffee, beverages, and food items strictly following recipe guidelines, Barista Workbook standards, and food preparation skills.
• Know all ingredients and recipes thoroughly to ensure consistent quality.
• Adhere accurately to recipe cards and specifications.
• Maintain speed and quality standards during service.
• Efficiently prepare orders and meet delivery standards.
• Properly label and store products, ensuring correct conditions are met.
• Apply First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principles to ensure freshness by rotating stock and displaying older products first.
• Handle out-of-date products appropriately.
• Keep fridges, freezers, and storage areas clean and sanitary.
• Manage receiving and checking of deliveries accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at workstations, including temperature monitoring.
• Maintain product displays according to planograms and standards manuals.
• Ensure 100% product availability within defined range parameters.
• Prepare drinks and food to Everyday Coffee standards and document temperature readings.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 2 years professional experience as a barista.
• Strong attention to detail, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Solution-focused mindset, able to solve problems proactively rather than create bottlenecks.
• Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills capable of inspiring teams and engaging multiple stakeholders.
• Comfortable interacting with senior executives and managing diverse stakeholder expectations.
• Motivated by challenges and eager to learn continuously on the job.
• Excellent analytical thinking and communication skills.
• Proficiency and hands-on experience with a variety of work tools.
• Fluent in English; fluency in Arabic is highly advantageous.
