Banker - Middle Office Professional

Role Overview

We are seeking a Middle Office Professional to serve as a key liaison with our Japan Head Office, managing accounting, IT, and middle office controls for our Singapore branch. This role involves budget management, fiscal closings, project coordination, regulatory compliance, and supporting senior management in audits and inspections.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain close communication with Japan Head Office related to branch accounting, IT, and middle office controls, coordinating projects accordingly.
• Manage the branch's financial budget and fiscal closing processes; collaborate with relevant divisions to prepare materials and report to senior management.
• Support department heads and senior management in preparations and responses to external/internal audits, tax reviews, and regulatory inspections involving middle office, accounting, and IT.
• Participate in tasks and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate monthly branch committee meetings.
• Assist department leadership in overseeing daily operations of accounting, IT, and middle office controls.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by department heads and senior management.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' professional experience within the banking industry.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluency in spoken and written Japanese is essential to effectively communicate with the Japan Head Office.
