Job description
Role overview
The Kindergartens is seeking bank staff to support its early years team across its settings in London. Both qualified and unqualified practitioners are invited to apply, and the role is offered on a part-time basis.
About the nursery group
The Kindergartens provides high-quality care and learning for young children in a supportive environment. The organisation places emphasis on staff development through training, helping team members grow their abilities while making a positive difference in children’s early education.
Little Dukes, the early years division of Dukes Education Group, operates independent nurseries in London, Richmond upon Thames, Brighton & Hove, and Worthing. Its aim is to give children a strong foundation for an extraordinary life through education.
What you will do
You will help deliver care and learning for children aged 0 to 5, support activity planning, and contribute to a safe, welcoming setting where children can learn and develop.
Candidate profile
The employer is looking for people who enjoy working with children and want to contribute positively to their development. Prior nursery or childcare experience is preferred, along with patience, empathy, and good communication skills. Teamwork is also important.
For qualified applicants, a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, or another full and relevant early years qualification, is required. Paediatric First Aid is preferred. A sound understanding of childcare regulations, including safeguarding, is also expected.
Benefits
The role comes with a competitive salary linked to experience and qualifications, along with access to training and development, a supportive team environment, pension contributions, cycle-to-work support, employee assistance, staff discounts, company events, sick pay, and a birthday day off.
Safeguarding and recruitment checks
Little Dukes is committed to protecting children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this responsibility. Successful candidates must complete the full safer recruitment process, including an application form, interview, reference checks, and an enhanced DBS check.
