Overview

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Band 4 Therapy Assistant who specializes in supporting older adults to join our welcoming, integrated team comprising physiotherapists and occupational therapists. This role offers extensive exposure across both short-stay wards and specialized complex medicine units, allowing diverse professional development opportunities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate as an essential member of the Therapy Service team.
• Assist qualified therapists with a variety of responsibilities, combining patient interactions and administrative support.
• Design and deliver therapeutic activity programs under the supervision of therapists.
• Implement and assess fundamental therapy interventions aligned with patient treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including electronic note entries.
• Oversee rehabilitation equipment upkeep within the department.
• Enter patient data efficiently into IT systems.
• Provide informal support to ward active recovery support workers and fellow therapy assistants.
