Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Baker to prepare a variety of baked goods including breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and pastries according to specific recipes and production needs. The role requires careful attention to food quality, safety standards, and production efficiency to meet daily baking requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce baked items such as breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries by following given production and catering instructions and assisting in planning to meet daily targets.
  • Utilize approved recipes and production guidelines ensuring the correct use of equipment and ingredients for food preparation.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation, including records of waste, portion usage, and product shortages, and notify the supervisor when inventory is low.
  • Ensure the proper presentation, quality, portion control, and serving temperature of baked goods.
  • Keep all baking equipment, utensils, and work areas clean, orderly, and sanitized.
  • Handle food products safely, adhering to all safety regulations during preparation and serving.
  • Thoroughly clean equipment and workstations before moving on to other tasks, ensuring display areas are tidy and free from debris.
  • Perform efficiently and calmly during busy production and service periods.
  • Verify that all food items are served and displayed according to established standards.
  • Follow food handling and equipment safety procedures consistent with corporate and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a professional baking certificate from an accredited institution or equivalent education and baking experience is preferred.
  • Reliable with the ability to work flexible hours.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures diligently.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Physical capability to perform the duties required by the position.
