This graduate opening sits within TikTok’s Trust and Safety engineering organization in Sydney. The team builds the systems that help protect users from harmful content and abusive behavior while supporting a safer live-streaming experience at scale.

What you will do
- Develop trust-and-safety systems and product features for international live-streaming products, including safety workflows, user-facing experience improvements, review efficiency tools, and strategy platform components.
- Help strengthen the safety experience for a very large global user base by contributing to highly concurrent and highly stable backend systems.
- Study business needs and product behavior in depth to identify practical ways to address live-stream safety challenges.

Minimum qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or another relevant technical field.
- Strong ability to design data structures and build algorithms.
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, Go, PHP, C++, or Java.

- Strong analytical ability and initiative, with the habit of digging into root causes and summarizing findings clearly.
