Job description
Role overview
We are hiring on behalf of a partner company that handles the full application flow and next steps. The partner is seeking a Back Office Specialist (Poker) located in Ireland.
You will join a rapidly expanding iGaming team that supports the smooth operation of an innovative online poker product. The role centers on managing back-office setup for tournaments, promotions, loyalty systems, and game parameters so that players experience a reliable and well-functioning platform. You will work closely with integrity and product teams, helping to preserve platform accuracy through testing, monitoring, and resolving issues. This is a remote-first position in a technology-focused environment where careful execution, accountability, and ongoing improvement matter.
Key duties
- Set up and oversee poker platform parameters such as rake tables, betting caps, limits, prize allocation, and tournament rules.
- Build and manage tournament logic, including buy-ins, guaranteed prize pools, game formats, blind progression, late registration settings, schedules, and access controls.
- Maintain rakeback, loyalty, bonus, decay, and recurring reward payment configurations.
- Create promotional triggers for tournament tickets, free spins, free bets, and similar rewards while applying the correct eligibility rules and restrictions.
- Handle operational requests linked to account limits, frozen funds, and bonus reversals in coordination with integrity teams.
- Validate every setup in staging before release, spot problems, and apply fixes in a timely way.
- Track tournament go-lives, table behavior, and promotion performance to keep operations running smoothly.
- Keep clear records and change logs for all completed configuration work and operational changes.
What the employer is looking for
- Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience with the back office of an online poker platform, iGaming operator, or poker club.
- Very strong focus on detail and accuracy, especially when handling numerical settings such as rake structures, guaranteed prize pools, and payout multipliers.
- Good knowledge of online poker formats, including Cash Games, Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs), and Spin & Go tournaments.
- Ability to follow operational checklists while producing accurate technical documentation.
- Experience with poker systems such as EvenBet Gaming, PPPoker, ClubGG, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Familiarity with iGaming bonus logic, including wagering requirements, reward triggers, and payout limits, is preferred.
- Basic SQL skills for checking configurations are a plus.
- Practical poker-playing experience is helpful for understanding gameplay and tournament setup.
- Strong organization, problem-solving ability, and independence in a remote work setting.
Benefits and working conditions
- Fully remote working arrangement with freedom to choose your workspace.
- Official employment options with administrative support where relevant.
- 20 days of paid vacation, public holidays, and paid sick leave.
- Private health insurance and coverage for psychological support.
- Monthly flexible benefits allowance that can be used for hobbies, sport, wellness, or personal interests.
- Personal learning budget, corporate English classes, workshops, and access to an online learning library.
- Regular team-building events, internal activities, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Clear growth paths supported by performance reviews, mentoring, and professional development programs.
- A collaborative, innovation-led culture with low bureaucracy and a strong emphasis on continuous improvement.
