Job description
Role overview
This senior leadership position is centered on improving client outcomes and operational effectiveness across large acute-care revenue cycle programs. You will partner closely with health system executives, guide enterprise-level performance across multiple facilities, and ensure daily onsite work stays aligned with broader organizational objectives. The role combines direct operational oversight with senior relationship management in a complex healthcare setting.
You will be responsible for leading layered onsite teams, strengthening performance across front-end, mid-cycle, and business office functions, and driving sustained improvements in revenue cycle results. Because the position is highly visible and client-facing, it requires regular onsite presence and close coordination with both customer leadership and internal stakeholders.
Key accountabilities
- Shape and execute the client success plan for assigned acute-care health systems, making sure it supports contractual commitments and revenue cycle targets.
- Direct the full revenue cycle workflow, including accounts receivable performance, denial reduction, point-of-service collections, and better patient financial experiences.
- Supervise and grow multi-tier onsite teams, including site directors and operational managers across several locations.
- Act as the main escalation contact for client and operational issues, with a focus on fast resolution and clear communication.
- Work with client executives and internal leaders to define priorities and deliver transformation efforts.
- Track operating KPIs and apply improvement plans across front-end, mid-cycle, and business office operations.
- Promote standard processes and consistent best practices across multiple facilities and service lines.
- Lead executive meetings, business reviews, and ongoing partnership governance discussions.
Experience and role requirements
- At least 5-7+ years of experience in acute revenue cycle management within hospital or similarly complex healthcare environments.
- At least 3-5+ years of people leadership experience overseeing large, multi-site teams in healthcare services or revenue cycle organizations.
- Deep working knowledge of end-to-end revenue cycle processes, including AR, denials management, patient collections, and billing operations.
- A demonstrated history of improving performance in large acute-care settings with measurable outcomes.
- Direct experience working with health system executives and managing high-value client relationships.
- Strong executive communication, persuasion, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead change, drive operational transformation, and standardize processes.
- CRCR, CPAR, or a comparable certification is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work onsite at client locations about 75% of the time.
Benefits and compensation
- Competitive pay with performance-based incentives.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- Retirement savings support and financial wellness resources.
- Paid leave, holidays, and well-being programs.
- Support for professional certifications and tuition reimbursement.
- Career advancement opportunities within a leading healthcare revenue cycle organization.
- Recognition programs and rewards tied to performance.
- The chance to lead major client partnerships with significant impact.
