This role is associated with an exclusive Engineering Recruitment Event hosted by Air Arabia in Jakarta, Indonesia. Role Overview
The successful candidate will support an Engineer in performing avionics maintenance on Air Arabia's fleet and other aircraft operated or serviced by them. Duties include assisting with inspections, troubleshooting, defect correction, repairs, and component replacements related to avionics and electrical systems. The role demands execution of assigned tasks with strict adherence to procedures and regulatory standards, ensuring safety, quality, and airworthiness in every task.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Engineer-in-Charge to thoroughly understand assigned task cards, work priorities, required documentation, and safety precautions prior to starting maintenance work.
- Execute scheduled aircraft maintenance tasks using the correct documentation, parts, tools, and ground support equipment (GSE) according to instructions.
- Perform detailed inspections and tests to accurately identify and document defects or damages based on approved procedures.
- Carry out repairs, part replacements, and functional tests as specified, following approved data and instructions.
- Ensure proper tool and equipment handling by procuring them from stores and returning them in good condition after use.
- Provide regular updates to the Engineer-in-Charge on task progress and highlight any issues related to aircraft condition or maintenance execution.
- Maintain high standards of workplace cleanliness and organization during all maintenance activities.
Safety Responsibilities
- Manage the safety aspects of assigned maintenance tasks by strictly following all mandated precautions before and during work.
- Take proactive measures to safeguard oneself and co-workers by using appropriate protective gear and equipment.
- Pay attention to human factors by adhering to interruptions protocols and ensuring adequate access and lighting when conducting inspections and maintenance.
Customer Service and Teamwork
- Offer helpful assistance and support within the maintenance team and other departments involved in scheduled maintenance activities.
- Represent Air Arabia positively and professionally when interacting with clients and external personnel.
Cost Consciousness
- Stay aware of maintenance costs, optimizing the use of time, parts, and materials to avoid unnecessary wastes and repair expenses.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certified and experienced Civil Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
- Proficient in English for reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension related to technical communications.
- Strong foundational knowledge of avionics maintenance principles and practices.
- Possession or ability to obtain a UAE Driver’s License.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in maintenance of large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus models.
- At least two years’ experience working in a Line Maintenance environment.
- Expertise in avionics maintenance, including use of specialized test instruments, computers, and software tools.
